Lee on the Solent Sailing Club Centenary Regatta

Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st August 2008

(Notice of Race)

The members  of Lee on the Solent Sailing Club invite all dinghy sailors to participate the club's centenary open annual regatta.

Registration will be at the club's signal station from 9am on Saturday 30th August

Please register early.

Entry fees:

 Entrance Fees will be charged as follows:

Classes 1,2 &3 - d/h £12, s/h £6

Class 4, Cadets & Novices – d/h £6, s/h £3

All entry fees exclude the ticket price for the regatta evening event. (£12 per head for hot buffet and live band)

All boats entering must be fully insured covering third party damage and injuries in line with the club's membership requirements and the Club Sailing Instructions.

ISAF 2008 Introduction to Racing Rules

Please note that the racing format may be changed due to the weather or other factors as per the club's sailing instructions.

The race organisation and boat facilities will be at the club's signal station and boat compound. 

Parking for Cars and Trailers

Cars and trailers must not be brought to or parked at the boat compound - there is no space on the road or in the compound. Cars and trailers must use the public parking available on street (away from the boat compound) or at the public car park to the east of the boat compound towards Gosport. Parking on the cliff top grass is available at £3.50m per day.

Boat berthing

Space may be available and will be allocated for visiting boats in one of the club's three boat compounds.

Prize Giving and Refreshment Arrangements

Snack food and drinks will be available from the signal station on both days.

The Prize Giving will be held after the final race on Sunday afternoon at the club's main clubhouse.

Regatta Evening Event

The club's annual Regatta Event will be held at the main clubhouse on the Saturday evening. All visiting crews are welcome to attend.  Tickets (£12 per head ) will be available at the registration and the clubhouse bar.
