Berthing Arrangements

The club has space available for berthing of dinghies and catamarans in three compounds surrounding the Signal Station. In total berthing for 140 boats is available.

New metal gates have been installed which will be kept locked. All berth holders will be advised of the lock combination. This combination should not be communicated to any other person.

Berths are available to club sailing members and children of social members for an additional annual berthing fee. The fee is dependent upon the class of boat.

Berths will be allocated on a first come first served basis after payment of the fee.  They will be deemed to have been forfeited if not occupied by May 31st (except at the discretion of the Sailing Committee).  Berths are allocated under conditions laid down in the Club Rule 18. Berth holders are required to display the berthing sticker in a prominent position, i.e. normally on the mast but on the transom of boats which are normally berthed with their masts down. IMPORTANT

It is the club's policy to promote active sailing and so boat usage is monitored throughout the season.  Your berth allocation may be prejudiced if you have not made reasonable use of your berth or if you fail to carry out allocated duties. It is every berth holder's responsibility to make sure that their boat is in the correct berth.

Insurance

All craft must be insured against third party risks of at least £2,000,000    If your boat is in our compound you are deemed to have accepted this condition

Berthing Allocations

All berths are numbered and allocated by the sailing committee. Once a berth is allocated you will be issued a berthing sticker. Please place the berthing sticker in a prominent position on boat mast or trolley.  Fasten boat down well.  Boat not in allocated berth will be moved at your risk.  Fail to pay for an occupied berth and risk us disposing of boat to recover dues.  Trailers must not be kept on Club property except in allocated berth
