Lee on the Solent Sailing Club invites B14 Association members to participate in the

2006 B14s National Championships

25th - 28th August 2006

 

Registration will be at the main clubhouse on Friday morning from 9am

 Entries to be returned as son as possible . A late entry fee will be charged for entries received after August 13th.

All participants must be members of the B14 Class Association.

4 days of racing

These races will take place within the central Solent waters off Lee on the Solent. The race organisation and boat facilities will be at the club's signal station and boat compound. Details of races will be included in the event sailing instructions.

 

Parking for Cars and Trailers

Special parking arrangements have been made with Gosport Borough Council. The event parking will be on the cliff top opposite the clubhouse.

The local council parking charge will be included in the event entry fee.

 

DO NOT GO DIRECTLY TO THE BOAT COMPOUND OR MAIN CLUBHOUSE - ALL CARS AND TRAILERS MUST GO VIA THE PUBLIC CAR PARK ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE MAIN CLUBHOUSE TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE SPECIAL CAR PARK ARRANGEMENTS.

 

Entrance to the special car parking area is via the main public car park located on the seafront to the west of the main clubhouse. Access for boats to get to the water to launch from the parking area is via the side gate to the boat compound and on to the slipway and beach. 

 

Arriving from the west, via Stubbington, Fareham or Lee on the Solent centre the main public car park is on the right just after pelican crossing opposite Beach Road. There will be a LOSSC marshal to direct participants to our parking area. For details of the locations click here.

Parking is available on road on in the nearby public car parks. There is no parking for cars, boats or trailers at the club boat compound.

 

Social and Food Arrangements

The Main club house will be open for breakfasts from 8:30 on the Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon. The bar will be open from 12 noon each day. Clubhouse facilities will be open all day on all days to competitors and families.

 

Evening events:

Friday - Caribbean Theme Night

Saturday - Association organised activity - see class association notice of race

Sunday - Disco and BBQ

Monday - Prize Giving

 

Snack food and drinks will be available from the signal station on both days.

 

Use of the Lee on the Solent Clubhouse, bar and food arrangements are open to all B14 participants.

 

Accommodation

Kingfisher campsite at Browndown Road is 1 mile to the east of the club's boat compound.
