Lee on the Solent Sailing Club invites RS Class Association members to participate in the

LOSSC 2008 RS400 & RS600 Fat Face Circuit Meeting

Saturday 16th August and Sunday 17th August 2008

Registration will be at the main clubhouse on Saturday morning from 9am

Entry fees , which include parking fees covering the whole weekend charged by Gosport Borough Council for use of the cliff top will be payable at registration.

 

All participants must be members of the RS Class Association.

 

 Sailing Instructions

 

Entry Form

 

There will be 3 races per day

These races will take place within the central Solent waters off Lee on the Solent. The race organisation and boat facilities will be at the club's signal station and boat compound. 

 

Saturday 16th - First race will start at 1300hrs with 3 back to back races.

Sunday 17th   - First race will start at 1100hrs with 3 back to back races.

 

Parking for Cars and Trailers

Special parking arrangements have been made with Gosport Borough Council. The event parking will be on the cliff top opposite the clubhouse.

DO NOT GO DIRECTLY TO THE BOAT COMPOUND OR MAIN CLUBHOUSE - ALL CARS AND TRAILERS MUST GO VIA THE GATE ON TO THE GRASS TO THE WEST OF THE MAIN CLUBHOUSE TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE SPECIAL CAR PARK ARRANGEMENTS.

 

Entrance to the special car parking area is via the main road opposite Cambridge Road located on the seafront to the west of the main clubhouse. Access for boats to get to the water to launch from the parking area is via the side gate to the boat compound and on to the slipway and beach. 

 

Arriving from the west, via Stubbington, Fareham or Lee on the Solent centre the main public car park is on the right just after pelican crossing opposite Beach Road. There will be a LOSSC marshal to direct participants to our parking area. For details of the locations click here.

 

Social and Food Arrangements

Snack food and drinks will be available from the signal station on both days. An evening meal will be available on the Saturday evening (please book during the day).

 

Use of the Lee on the Solent Clubhouse, bar and food arrangements are open to all RS Open participants. The bar will be open from !2 noon each day. Club house facilities will be open all day on both days to competitors and families.

 

 

 

Accommodation

Kingfisher campsite at Browndown Road is 1 mile to the east of the club's boat compound.
