Course Setting

In order to prevent sailors going afloat to race before the course has been finalised, the Sailing Committee has decided to adopt the following procedure:

While the course is being deliberated over the course board will be positioned on the ground. When it is considered that the course is finalised, the course board will be hung on the front wall of the signal station.

Should the circumstances (such as a large wind shift) subsequently require a further change to the course, Code Flag 'L' will be flown and two sound blasts will be signalled. crews will need to return to the course board to update their course information.
